The Balcony Club 150 N. 8th at Idaho, upstairs on Balcony Occasional live music. DJ, dancing. While they pride themselves on being open to everyone, this is mostly a gay bar. Often more gay men than women. Very safe. Pool tables. Darts. DANCING. 336-1313
The Emerald Club 415 S. 9th St., Boise One of Boise's older gay bars. Drag shows almost weekly. Has experienced something of a revival and lots of women go to dance & play pool. Women owned. Has a sign out front that reads "Straight Friendly." 342-5446
